Not sure what you found objectionable about the second one

College does not develop players nearly as well as pros. That is a fact. The only reason to develop in college is if a pro team won't do it (the point of that statement was that if you are draftable and can make an NBA roster, even a G-League one, you will develop faster outside NCAAB).

(EDIT: Saw your longer response just now - to react to that: Bennett is better at developing players than almost any other NCAAB coach. But that does not mean that he is better at developing players within the restrictions and available resources of the NCAA than the pros are within their restrictions and available resources. It is not Bennett's fault that his players have limited practice time, amateur competition, many other demands on their attention and time such as academics, limited support and coaching staff, etc. But the reality is that once a player goes pro their development sky-rockets. The bar is just so much higher in the NBA that it is hard to tell, but Brogdon is WAY better now than he ever was at UVa. Attacking the lane, 3-pt shooting, individual defense, passing skills, etc. He has put a TON of work into his game since he became a pro - maybe more than you are giving him credit for.)

As for my Brogdon career statement, obviously his current projection is higher, but here is Steve Blake's career capsule (he is now over the hill and retired):

Steve Blake, 13 years, 923 games, 5904 points, 3578 assists

Brogdon is now very likely to exceed half those stats. His current CARMELO (538) projection is for a career very similar to Steve Blake right now.
