If any of those guys were that interested, or UT was able to commit the


resources necessary to get them, then they would have been the coach. That didn't happen and UT doesn't get partial credit for failing to land guys who were willing to hear offers.

I'm sure Fulmer comes off in some way as a savior to vols fans for bringing the search to an end after 2 weeks of catastrophic PR, but I don't get the sense that Currie was unable to land an assistant coach like Pruitt if that's what he had set out to do in the first place (Schiano a little different having a very good college HC track record despite being an assistant).
