Re: Can someone show me how many we have out rebounded opponents over last 2-3

So a brief breakdown but also a note: Pure rebounds is not best number. For example in last years ACC tournament game we out rebounded Notre Dame. We also lost by 17. However add in 9 more TO and allowing them to shoot 48% you can see less chances. I prefer to see who is winning battle of TO+REB as a better indicator (with a slight weigh of 1.5 to OREB). Total rebounds also allow for the always lovely team rebounds stat to play a difference.

16-17 so far: Outrebouned in all games except 2 (Central Ct and Harvard).

15-16: 18 of 33 games we out rebounded opponents.
ND, Wake Forest, VT, FSU, WF, Duke, VT, Pitt, Clemson. UMBC, UMES, UGA, UIC, BGSU, NW, NEB, RUT, CSU, MTSU

What is very interesting is that we tend to win the battle for the boards by a rebound or two which is misleading when looking at our overall record when winning rebounds. Will run it later without team rebounds (which could give us the statistical edge on the boards without actually doing any work)
