Jozy hasn't really fallen, imo.


He's who he has always been. Questionable work-rate and streaky/inconsistent. Bradley does seem to have declined.

I do think it would be good if MLS gave younger players more opportunity (as much as I love Ben Olsen, he seems to be very stubborn about giving ANYONE un-established a shot until injuries/suspensions force him to). But you have to realize those coaches in MLS are in the business of winning games for their club, and what's in the best interest of the USMNT may not be in the best interest of their club.

So, is there a way MLS could incentivize playing youth? Or maybe, could the youth systems get better at producing players ready to come in and warrant more PT in MLS?

As a DC United fan I want DC United to do what's best for DC United. As a USMNT fan I want US Soccer to figure out the best way to develop talent for the USMNT. I think those two entities need to work together, but they also need to realize not all of their interests align completely.
