If there's a plan, it hasn't been shared. Onesty and the Cage need to go,

too, 20 years ago.

The FOC has to come first, and that move will empty out much of McCue. The many non-revs with locker rooms in UHall will need new digs, either carved out of current football space in McCue, or on-site to their competition field/practice area (like Baseball w/ Davenport). I think the master plan for track for instance includes permanent bleachers and locker rooms for track/XC on site. Klockner would need to be built out further for mens and womens lax and mens and womens soccer locker rooms, or maybe there's a new building to go next to their respective practice fields.

Once that's all sorted out, U Hall can mercifully come down, asbestos abatement and all. The Cage gets some use by track and field (it is terrible for most such purposes) but the Welsh gives the field sports a dry space; it needs to go. Onesty (old swimming pool and some wrestling stuff) really needs to be gone, 20 years ago. All 3 buildings relics of a very different era, with horrible aesthetics rivaled by their horrible functionality.

Absolutely an indoor track facility should go up in that footprint, and maybe another parking garage for JPJ/Davenport/Klockner events. JPJ has an all-sports dining hall, but many schools now have central buildings for academic support and lounges for athletes that could be part of the new complex.

I don't want to even begin to imagine how much all of that will cost on top of the $60M FOC, but I know Duke and UNC have been raising and spending money in recent years to address similar overhauling needs in the hundreds of millions of dollars. CW and Co. will have their work cut out for them.
