First congrats! When the child is a baby, remember that you are the
parent, you are in charge, it is your job to teach them, train them even as a tiny baby and you know what they need.
Don't feed them every hour because they are crying or think they are hungry. Have a bed time and nap routine/schedule that works. Sometime a baby doesn't want to go to sleep just like a big kid, but it is bedtime and they might need to cry some before falling asleep. Again, you are teaching and training them.
I have seen many friends really struggle with sleeping and eating habits of their kids that were developed when they were babies. Kids at 3, 4, 6 years old who still don't consistently sleep through the night because they were not taught as babies to do so.
