I'd be angry, for sure, but some background information

The modern PCP is absolutely inundated with information, and patient loads keep increasing. So, visit times are shorter, and more and more work is done via email or other means. Nowadays, when a doc is finished with the day, there are 100 emails to answer along with reviewing test results and the like. And, like with all email systems, they get copied in on everything, so separating the wheat from the chaff is harder and harder to do.

Yes, you should be angry, but if I were in your place, I think I'd be more angry at the provider than the doc. The systems they have, and don't have, in place and the demands they are making are causing these sorts of things to happen with more regularity.
