This^^^ Had pretty much the exact same experience within

the past few weeks involving a serious esophageal issue. Needed to get scheduled for an endoscopy ASAP because I literally could not eat and could hardly even swallow liquids for multiple days. It took 2 or 3 days to even get a call to schedule it, and they couldn't do the procedure for another week after that. WTF?? When I was actually in the doctor's office for the diagnosis, they understood the urgency and said they'd get it scheduled ASAP.

Fortunately for me, a prescription I got at the initial appointment did a great job of helping with the problem, to where I didn't mind waiting an extra week or so for the endoscopy, but what if I'd actually had to go another 10 days literally without eating and even having a hard time choking down liquids????
