The games are often boring. Haphazard rules enforcement makes results


Fluky. It feels like there are very few ways to be consistently good, but mostly just the one: have a good qb. Hard salary cap and small rosters means the only other way is to live off high-variance players: guys on cheap rookie deals.

I think rules changes need to happen to make the game have more action. Things like: make the field wider, limit subs, loosen rules on contact downfield, ramp up steroid testing even more.

But again, the officiating and rulebook in general are atrocious. Kills any flow to games, and are often impossible to adjudicate in real time.
