Good to see the offense finally getting the ball to the TEs a little more
on Saturday in the second half. Reminded me a little of the (recent) old days the way we would attacking the seams, even if Saturday it was only for about 5-6yds per catch. After a half of mostly 0-2yd runs between the tackles on 1st down it seemed like we really committed to short positive yard passes on 1st down to mitigate the lack of a running presence and get more favorable 2nd down yardages, especially with the TEs.
Does this become a larger portion of the 1st down strategy going forward? - pass first, short yards down field - or just remain a "We still can't run the ball" back-up plan?
