Chapeau to the organizers and course today (spoiler)
Most exciting day of racing in years. The course was short and punchy, Sky wasn't in the position to be expected to grind out at the front, and we actually saw a dozen riders all going for it in their own race.
Barguill the perfect rider to win on Bastille day, especially sweet after losing the photo finish earlier. King of the mountain is basically guaranteed.
As expected, Aru is unfortunately in the position of having a decimated and too weak team to expect to carry yellow into Paris. Bardet still best competition to Froome, AG2R playing their cards well, but he still needs 1:30 to make up time and the inevitable loss in final ITT.
Great day of fireworks, no real slow periods, and it didn't take four hours to get a little excitement.
My Velo team with Barguill, Aru, and Meintjes would look pretty smart, if not for having a disqualified sprinter and zero points from Valverde.
