I said

The Big 10 passed the ACC last year and they may separate themselves permanently over the next couple years.

The first part of that sentence is a FACT.

The second part of the sentence is a possible (likely) result.

I am coming to the conclusion that the Big 10 is going to be the destination for lacrosse. Cite the ACC weather to me and then, explain why--with the exception of ClemPson and FSU--the Big 10 kills the ACC in football alternatives. Football guys like weather, and that says, there must be something more than temperate climates that drives decisions.

Think about it--ClemPson and FSU are not considerations for lacrosse players. Look at what Ohio State, Maryland, Penn State, Michigan, and Rutgers can offer. And, if a recruit wants history, the Big 10 has--for the consummate laxbro--Hopkins to bleed off the kids who don't care about HUGE athletic industrial complexes, $$$, and a total college experience. This is trubble (with a capital T) for the ACC. And, this is coming from a guy who has over twelve years of tuition invested in UVA.

Delude yourself, at your peril. Maryland has contintued to out recruit UVA, including in state in lacrosse. How could Michigan out recruit UVA in state in lacrosse, which it has done in one of the upcoming classes????? (And now they may have a real coach who has the acumen to fix their defensive issues). I bet Penn State might be able to out recruit UVA in state as well.
