Re: Isn't Dominique Toussaint a point guard; am I missing something?

Her ranking profiles have always shown her as a shooting guard. I saw one article that called her a combo guard. Not arguing whether she can play the position or not. It is just not the primary position that she has played in the past and she would not be labeled as a "true" point guard. Big difference between having the handles to bring the ball up and down the court and having the experience to run a team and know how to set up your teammates for shots. The point guard needs to be a leader and good decision maker and Toussaint, though highly skilled, often made questionable decisions both on and off the court. She had two one game suspensions during the year for violation of team rules. Heard Boyle describe her personality once as someone who could just as easily sail a pass over the front row of seats as hit a game winning shot (this is a paraphrase, not an exact quote). She has already proven her value to the team and that she can play in the ACC as a shooting guard.
