I think the chances of not hosting > chances of being a national seed
Our RPI is likely to get worse, not better, as we finish the ACC schedule with 3 teams who are at or below .500 overall, plus FSU, who is only 24-15. If we drop a series along the way to someone like Miami, it could really make our hosting argument thin. To get a national seed we'd need to almost win out, including a sweep of FSU.
You joked about praying for rainouts but maybe we really do need one or two this weekend. Notre Dame is only 17-20, just outside the Top 100 in RPI.
