Honestly, doesn't matter what his motivation was. If he chose to


negotiate a new agreement with UCF that maximized his payout from Stanford (based on the termination agreement he negotiated with Stanford) that is called smart. Stanford might not like it and might dislike UCF, but it makes sense for both UCF and Dawkins to structure the new agreement that way.
