I think for some (myself included) it might be not as much an issue of


basketball quality as much as it is not really having a team to get behind. Having a playoff team playing with a recent Hoo playing a prominent role and doing well makes it a lot easier to care about an NBA team, from my perspective. If Virginia had an NBA team (don't you dare call the Wizards a VA team, lol), then I would probably have felt otherwise about NBA for awhile. While I've VERY slightly followed the Hawks under Mike Scott's time there, Brogdon's role with the Bucks has brought my NBA attention to new levels.
