I think you're right about the inconsistency on offense. Hoos were a pretty unusual on offense this year with 1st years as their top scorers at attack and midfield; normally your top offensive guys will be juniors and seniors. That might explain some of it. I think it supports what GreenBottleNight and 1more have been saying for a while - we've got some very good players at the top line - but the depth isn't the same as our top competitors yet.

Turnovers were frustrating at times but Hoos were forcing turnovers at high rates vs good teams, so net turnovers were rarely significant. For possession margin, small increases in save percentage will quickly outweigh the impact of net turnovers. Increase save percentage a bit and the Hoos offense's shot percentage a bit, and the impact on win rate will be much bigger than from reducing the number of times the Hoos turn the ball over. Improve FO performance to ensure against a repeat of the Kelly/UNC nightmare too, and you're in a position to compete with and win your share against the best in D1.
