I'm laughing, but it's not funny.


One of my co-workers has a 16-year-old daughter (no, I'm not posting her picture) who is absurdly gorgeous and . . . and I say this with all respect, and as a father with two daughters in their 20s . . . is built. She's a nice kid; gets good grades; doesn't get into trouble; all a father could ask. She's not even into boys that much, according to her dad, but he may be dreaming on that one. But, as you might expect, the boys are into HER, and it's driving her father crazy. She's been invited to prom by some big football player guy, and she's going with him (although, apparently, she's not that into the guy), and the father can't handle it. I told him to chill, because in two years (she's a junior), she'll be off at college, and he'll have NO idea what she's doing at 2 a.m.

Sometimes, you just have to trust that you did a decent job raising them.
