That is not correct: 802.11ac delivers 300Mbps up to gigabits per sec

802.11ac is going to provide the average stations with a data rate of around 400Mbps up to gigabits per second.

In contrast, you ISP is only providing around 1.5 Mbps to 50Mbps.

Even the older 802.11n standard is going to give you 50Mbps - 500MBps.

Wifi is significantly faster than the ISP speed.
