I do not doubt that he will be a good safety


I just thought he was our best CB last year and do wonder if subtracting him from the CB position negates any perceived gain in having him at Safety. I do however generally agree that it is best to mate up a balhawking roving safety with kid like Blanding (or Rainey if he was playing) that can be more like a rangy LB on the back-end. VT has been doing this for years with a lot of success.
