Have to give credit to Duke - as much as it pains us.

I've been coaching at the high school level a long time (almost 20 years) and have been in the RDU area for the last 14. I have been able to watch Haus, Breschi, Pressler and Danowski coach from up close. What you saw is no accident.

Danowski is the most focused on fundamentals college coach I have seen - by far. His teams look ragged early because he lets them work through the basics and learn by having it pointed out to them by their opponents, but they grow and it is danged hard to beat a team that passes soundly (just look at the pace of their passing vs ours on Saturday) and understands the fundamentals of moving a defense by movement, both ball and off-ball.

What gets me is that it is no secret. He'll tell anybody who will listen. I don't like that they have that this streak against UVa, but I sure as heck respect it.

I think maybe a Pack Line defense is needed. -- 71wahoo 04/16/2017 2:12PM
