I remember Marc Iavaroni taking 40 or 50 dropstep shots in practice, then


going to the other side of the basket and doing it again. Then he'd grab the rim and stretch, then repeat the dropstep shots.
There's no reason that Jack Salt couldn't do the same thing. You dont need range, you don't need a bag full of tricks, you just need a reliable dropstep. Then when he sets up to catch a pass, he won't have to immediately turn his back and set a screen for the "mover". Instead, he can actually be the inside scoring threat we so desperately need.
Just a suggestion. But it worked for I. He scored a great many points his fourth year from two feet away.
Then he kept doing the same thing for the Sixers, and got a ring along the way.
Just my two cents.
