Why would you take those comments so literally and absolutely?


The first four sentences are the only ones that BW could control. And if you believe that his son "will own his journey" then you have to accept that BW cannot guarantee his son "will not quit" and "will not transfer". It's not BW's journey or place to make such a statement in absolute terms. In reality, it was a dad making his sentiment known at that moment in time. I see the context and have no problem with that. Kids are going to do what they are going to do, especially as young adults. I hope the young man's life journey works out well for him.
