No. FB is a loser at their size. Hoops and lax can
provide modest revenue, with ice hockey a potential break even sport at best for some. What they do have is a high-end fan base that marketers like, sort of like pro golf. So, with a bit more hoops on TV plus a Friday evening alternative for FB, they can get small ratings but decently high ad revenues. Win-win as Friday night is a pretty dead time with limited programming and viewership for sports channels. FB just requires too many numbers to truly compete and with limited talent pool of academically qualified kids that already have Power 5 options like UVA, Duke, Vandy, Stanford, Michigan that will always out prestige them in terms of FB visibility. Not a single college friend of mine has ever indicated any desire to see my alma mater compete on a big FB basis, even "big" in FCS standards (i.e., participating in FCS playoffs). Hockey, lax, hoops, and otehr non-rev is a different story.
