By scoring it as a Championship meet, minus the diving, we end up seeing it as:

I think we can stop calling the BXII a "major" conference in swimming... It is just Texas, seriously... they are the only team from that conference at NCAAs. We as the ACC are catching up by leaps and bounds, but we still do not match the star power (top 1-3 in each event) or the depth (down to 16) of the SEC, and we do not match the star power of the B1G or PAC.
Plus keep in mind that teams like Cal, Texas, and half of the other good teams like Florida, Stanford have not fully rested yet. This will be interesting to see after NCAAs. And so would an "All-Star" meet of sorts like the USA vs World Duel in the Pool type thing, like the week after NCAAs... that would be fun.
