Those relay splits are great, and I can't wait to see what he does after a year in our program and under our coaching staff.

I was doing research last week and saw his best in the 50 was now 20.62 and 44.83 in the 100, with a 44.06 in the 100 with a relay start. His previous 200 best was 1:37.4 so that is a HUGE drop. His best 50 time with a relay start was 20.1 before this past weekend.

That is an awesome drop!!! no two ways about it.

This is huge beyond just his straight up times (and relay splits). This really helps with the Whiteside relay vs individual discussion. Between him and Keel (who did split a 19.6 at ECAC's this past weekend) we can cover the 200MR without too much of a loss by not having Whiteside on that relay.

BUT now that we saw Schilling and Keel go 44.0 and 44.2 thus becoming our 2nd and 3rd fastest returning 100 Free guys, maybe Schilling could replace Whiteside on the 400MR, OR we do just keep Whiteside off of the 200MR and keep him "fresh" for the 800FR?
