I suspect that OSU has played more matches to date...


either more matches or higher ranked opponents.

The ITA uses a formula that pretty much requires a robust schedule if you want to be ranked highly. By end of season, the Hoos will be positioned appropriately to get max points, but early in the season, we probably have played fewer matches than most teams, so it might take a couple more weeks to move up to where we belong.

Plus, OSU is pretty darned good.
