Just a reminder- We won the 2013-14 ACC without a high scoring post player

Gill hadn't yet hit his stride, and was our top-scoring post player, averaging only 8.6 ppg. The production from the entire group of post players was definitely better than our current guys, but the point is that a team doesn't HAVE to have a post player with dominant offensive skills these days to be successful.

Our problem yesterday wasn't the lack of a good post player. Duke was denying the 3-point shot and overplaying the pass out to the wing. It was really the inability of our guards to drive and/or take advantage of the back door that cost us the game.

2016-17 post players
Isaiah Wilkins- 7.5 ppg
Jared Reuter- 4.4 ppg
Mamadi Diakite- 4.0 ppg
Jack Salt- 3.8 ppg

2013-14 post players
Anthony Gill- 8.6 ppg
Akil Mitchell- 6.8 ppg
Mike Tobey- 6.4 ppg
Darion Atkins- 3.0 ppg
