UVA men's club soccer wins NATTY! Self-coached and ...

run by 4th years David Ellis and Scott Patterson, the team went to Foley, AL, and defeated the University of Michigan, University of Delaware and University of Cincinnati in bracket play before emerging victorious against Ohio State (who'd won the title in 2014) 3-2 in the championship match. What's really impressive is that most of these other clubs were led by hired coaches. Every aspect of this club - both on and off the field - was self-governed!

Gotta say, as an alumnus who played my fair share of intramural sports, I'm just as proud of this NATTY as any other championship our Div. 1 athletic teams have won.

Congrats to Messrs. Ellis and Patterson, as well as all the other members of the squad. Wahoowa!!
